    • Prints that are proportional to your frame

    • Vertical stripes elongate you

    • Wearing the same color pant as your top makes you appear taller, as well.

Avoid: Skinny jeans with no wow factor don't make you look your best, but you can offset them with bold shoes. Avoid wearing pants the same color as your shoes.

To shorten your waist/ elongate your legs:

  • Straight or bootcut pants

  • Medium to high rise pants

  • A peplum band

  • Details at the hips, side pockets

  • Kitten or wedge heels

  • Calf high boots that are angled at the top are elongating

  • Shoes with interesting texture or unusual design elements

  • Fun sneakers.

  • Heels are great on you as they elongate your frame.

Avoid: pointed or dainty shoes, blending your shoes with your pants, skirt or dress. 

To shorten your waist/ elongate your legs:

  • Heels

Accessories

  • Opt for earrings instead of bold necklaces

  • Statement shoes, bold pedicure

  • Bold handbag that sits at the hips

  • Bracelets, watches, rings drawing attention to your hands

  • Long necklaces.

Avoid: Statement necklaces, unless you balance them on the bottom half or they are long. 

To shorten your waist:
